Yoga is all about exercise, and being religious is all about faith but to do Yoga, it is not at all necessary to be religious. Dhyan(Focus) is one stage in Yoga, and you can always focus on anything which interests you and not necessarily God only. Similarly, Samadhi in Yog is a stage which comes when you elongate your dhyan and reach the deep meditation stage where you have no connection with the outside world and you are connected to your oneself.
