Advanced course work, assignments, and maybe even the start of your projects. I would suggest studying for the GRE during the holidays (either christmas or summer holidays) and writing it immediately after the holidays. you will need about two months of solid preparation , so I would suggest summer holidays. One thing is, the Critical Reasoning Section. Now in the GRE, you will have questions involving critical reasoning, though these are not as difficult as those found in the GMAT.
