How do I prepare for IIT-JEE in one year (Class 12) without coaching?

Preparing for IIT-JEE is not a tough task. All you have to do is focus on your 11th and 12th subjects thoroughly. Also you can take advantage of online study material, the best source is youtube. There are various channels on youtube that will help you understand the basic concepts of the subjects that you are interested in. Make sure to work hard as there is no substitution to it. And understand the things that you study rather than memorizing it. If you do your studies regularly you can crack any exam.

I'm myself an IIT graduate and its my personal opinion that if you want to complete / prepare yourself for JEE in one year, you should definitely join a coaching institution. Its not a time for hit and trial.. You wont get lot of chances, go ahead.. Select a good institute and work very hard. Good luck and God bless. 

You need to rigorously prepare for the exam in order to crack it in the first attempt. There is no shortcut to it. So, it is advised you prepare a strategy to complete your entire syllabus in one year. Make a realistic time-table such that you are able to devote equal time in completing all 3 subject syllabus. Then start with NCERT books. Complete them first. This will cover 60% of your task. Rest 40% is practising different type of questions, mock tests, previous year question papers etc. And regular revision.

First of all you clear your basic concept for all the subjects involved in IIT. Mathematics plays very important role to have good knowledge in Physics also. Therefore, to clear IIT you must have good knowledge of Mathematics. As I have mentioned in the beginning itself, it is universal truth, if your foundation is strong, you can construct high rise building on that. Likewise if your basic concept of the subjects is clear, you can achieve high profile success in your life. Besides this, be dry honest in your deeds, have faith in you because your generation is extremely intelligent and lucky with full of resources. Explore yourself using available resources and channelise your energy and intelligetia by scheduling the time-table properly and follow the same in very very disciplined manner. Never quit, have "I can do" attitude, do not get upset with the failure, make the failure a mile stone, becuase failure is called the pillar of success for optimists.
