I'm myself an IIT graduate and its my personal opinion that if you want to complete / prepare yourself for JEE in one year, you should definitely join a coaching institution. Its not a time for hit and trial.. You wont get lot of chances, go ahead.. Select a good institute and work very hard. Good luck and God bless.

I have to be regular in your studies with proper time management. Go through previous years question papers and this will help you in understanding the pattern of examination.Revise the chapters you have studied with special focus on Mathematics because high scoring in this subject will improve your rank.
read lessYou need to rigorously prepare for the exam in order to crack it in the first attempt. There is no shortcut to it. So, it is advised you prepare a strategy to complete your entire syllabus in one year. Make a realistic time-table such that you are able to devote equal time in completing all 3 subject syllabus. Then start with NCERT books. Complete them first. This will cover 60% of your task. Rest 40% is practising different type of questions, mock tests, previous year question papers etc. And regular revision.
