Jai Gurudev Hi Kamal, As you might be aware that Yoga Asanas deliver better results when you practice it correctly otherwise it can harm you more than you expect. Recent studies have indicated that around 10% of new yoga practitioners are getting hurt due to wrong way of doing Yoga Asanas and other wings of Yoga like pranayama, diet practices and meditation etc. Apart from the way you practice yoga, there could be other reasons likes your physical fitness, your condition just before you start yoga practice (like low glucose level), hydration levels during and after Yoga practice, severity of Yoga practice etc can also cause you headache. Studying carefully how you are doing yoga asanas and stress on your nerves, and other factors I mentioned above guiding on those lines might help you to get rid of it. However it has to be dealt case to case basis when supervised personally. Try to bring the changes suggested above and let me know if you can see improvement. Wish you happy recovery and happy Yoga practicing!!! Jai Gurudev!!! read less

Although Yoga is meant to bring relief in headache if done correctly as per one's body condition, but still there can be some reasons for headache after yoga, if there wasnt any present before the practice. Essentially its because of our energy moving into upper chakras, if our body is not ready for that yet..Or if there is any condition present like high blood pressure etc, and if we perform any poses that are meant to accelerate the heart rate. Sometimes it is also triggered due to some gastric influx, and if our digestion is not working properly, and we overly work on that area with 'solar plexes'.. It really depends on the existing condition of the body and course of action should be decided accordingly. The safest thing to do is lie in Shavasana (the corpse pose) and have as deep rest as possible..relax the muscles in forehead as much as possible and meditate on mantra AUM. read less

Hi Kamal, Namaste ! There could be several reasons for your headache after yoga. Try to avoid strenuous postures for few weeks and practice only those asanas and pranayama that suits your body. Always know your limits. Drink water but only after you finish your session and not in between. If you feel very thirsty when your session is still on, you may drink a very small quantity of water.Last but not the least I assume you are doing yoga under proper guidance from a qualified instructor. Better avoid any yoga practice through self-learn videos. read less
