The journey is start from

Yam→Niyam→Asana→Pranayama→Pratyahar→Dharana→Dhyan→Samadhi

This is called Astanga yog 

where 

Yam- For socieity

Niyam-For yourself

Asana-Improve flexibility

Pranayam-Breathing Awareness

Pratyahar-Control Sense organs

Dharana- Start awareness before meditation

Dhyana- One focusing Point

samadhi- Fully self realisatoin
