As the part of evolution, we humans became bipedal, i.e. we started walking on two legs instead of four.

Front legs became hands and spine became erect.

The erect spine bears the load of the body in addition to the gravitational pull.

(During pregnancy, due to increase in the tummy, pregnant ladies feel spinal discomfort.)

So erect spine started bending due to these gadgets and what we see nowadays is an EPIDEMIC of spinal problems.

Reason being less than adequate care of our physical and mental self.

Yoga helps to strengthen the spine, to keep the body fit and refresh the mind from the stress of work.

Here are few simple spines bending and twisting asanas:

1. Ardha Kati Chakrasana

2. Ardha Chakrasana

3. Padahastasana

4. Ustrasana

5. Paschimottanasana

6. Dhanurasana

7. Bhujangasana

8. Salabhasana

9. Sarvangasana

10. Halasana

The list is endless, as all yoga postures strengthen the core of the body.

Doing Yogasanas leads to improved body posture through the strong spine, and one enjoys the perks of good physical and mental health.
