don't take too much restrictions. first of all the aspirant should have to follow/practice basic yoga and to know for what purpose/goal he wants to practice yoga i.e. health or spiritual purposes.

Yoga should not practiced in case of surgery or illness.The yoga can start with consultant of Doctor.

While doing yoga clothes should be comfetable.

Breath should not hold in cases of Asthma or any respiratory diseases.This can be done with proper consultant of Teacher.

Certain Asanas should be done under supervision of yoga teacher.Some Asanas/ pranayam are restricted in case of High bp or cardiac problem.

 Spiritual seeker should follow Yam and Niyam in Asthang Yoga.

Women should not practice yoga during menstrual period.
