Dear Samridhi, have you done a degree/diploma/ certificate/any other professional course in yoga therapy, yoga training/ yoga teaching etc? If not, then firstly, you must do a proper course from a reputed university/institute and then you can start as a "Professional Yoga Trainer/ Teacher/Therapist"....

If not, then firstly, you must do a proper course from a reputed university/institute and then you can start as a "Professional Yoga Trainer/ Teacher/Therapist". As such, till today, there is no regulation which governs yoga teaching/training/therapy work as profession; like doctors, lawyers, chartered accountants or any other recognized profession. However, I feel that it's high time that the government should take immediate steps to regulate the yoga as a profession. Hope, this suffices as an answer. read less
