I have been an avid meditator since last 12 years and volunteered and assisted with very senior meditation & yoga teachers. Since the last 2 years I have been teaching meditation and sudarshan kriya (one of the most powerful breathing technique by the Art of Living, researched & recommended by Harvard, AIIMS, Yale, Stanford and many others). I'm passionate about spreading smiles and making lives of people stressfree through meditation and breathing exercises.

Yes it does, super brain yoga is nothing but what we used to do in class as kids when our teachers used to scold us. Sitting in squat position, pulling our ears. And US is very smart, it has rebranded that as super brain yoga. This position makes your brain very sharp as there are certain accupressure points in our brain, and those get activated when we practice this. That's why in schools in India, if a student made a mistake they were made to sit in squat position and pull their ears. This position increases your awareness too, helping the student become more aware and eventually make less mistakes.

There are no negative effects of yoga at all. But if you don't practice it properly initially, then if you practice any asana incorrectly, that could lead to any injury. That's why yoga once starting initially, ideally should be done under a trained instructor. Otherwise there are only benefits in yoga, no negative effects at all
