(1,-2) is a solution of the given equation. In other words, the point (1,-2) lies in the line having equation 2x-3y=8.
Proof:
If a point (x,y) lies on equation ax1+by1+c=0, then it will always satisfy the equation.
Putting (1,-2) in equation
2*1-(3*-2)=2--6=2+6=8.
Thus the point lies on the given equation. Proved.

I would suggest you go for Python. Once you are well versed with the advanced features of Python, and it's library functions like script, Numpy etc , you can learn how to integrate Python with Talend, Informatica, BigData, Hive, Scoop, Scala and work in the field of data mining, data processing, data analysis which is an integral part of machine learning and automation.

Hi Jagadeesh,
I'm working in TCS for the last three years. Hence, I can answer your question.
Since you're working as a Data researcher and you have aMBA, I would suggest you concentrate on learning automation and machine learning algorithms and their application. You can start with basic Python, R and then slowly integrate with Hive, BigData, NoSql, Informatica, Talend to work with data and analyse them using Python and R programming. They are well suited for the market ahead, and machine learning and AI is the right digital push at this moment.
This, in turn, will open up avenues for you in investment banking if you want to pursue that line in future. Hope it helps.
