Hi, I am an MBA graduate with Finance specialisation and I am working as a Data Researcher for the past 4 years. I want to change my job and want to learn a new course. will you please suggest which course is best to me?.

If you can change your specialisation in a new industry, you become a fresher so from there you have to work for 3 to 4 years to gain expertise. So instead of that, continuing the present field is best. If you are facing problems at work, change the job, not the field. That's my suggestion. Whatever you do, All the best!

The course that is best for an individual needs to be self-assessed. My recommendation would be based on your finance domain, look out for functional opportunities wherein the finance vertical gets integrated. My personal preference has always been procurement and supply chain, non-recession impacted, market opportunities exist industry-wide, and the learning curve. It's never-ending and highly dynamic.. would be a fantastic platform to know the business relative to industry vertical.

As you have an MBA in finance and have acquired four years of work experience in the research field, you should think about something more relavant to your qualification and experience so that all your previous hard work can compliment in your potential job. Some areas that you can explore are Financial modelling (for M&A jobs, stock/valuation analysis), FP&A or business finance, which directly works with company business and operation, project finance or project management, data science, SAP FICO etc. In all these above mentioned, you will able to use your existing skills that you from your previous domain. Of course, you need to work towards the specific skill that is required to perform the job. I hope it helps.
