The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a board of education which is controlled and managed by the Union Government of India. The CBSE, being one of the famous national-level boards, has roughly 20,300 affiliated schools across the country. CBSE Class 8 English as a discipline has two parts viz. English Literature and English grammar and composition. The syllabus is constructed to build a solid grammar foundation, increase vocabulary development, promote fluency in English speaking and writing. Hence, students are exposed to lengthy reading comprehension, grammar, especially poetry and proses, to develop critical and creative thinking etc.
CBSE Class 8 Maths Syllabus is crafted meticulously to help students build a knack for logical development. It moreover envisions to construct critical thinking, reasoning ability, problem-solving ability. It also highlights the significance of mathematical skills in life as the world doesn’t move an inch without it. Thus, Quadrilaterals, Algebra, Linear equations, Squares and square roots, Mensuration etc. are amongst the core topics studied.
CBSE Class 8 Science/Science and Technology syllabus is classified into three sections – Biology, Physics and Chemistry with 18 chapters in total. Some of the core topics studied are Microorganisms: Friend and Foe, Combustion and Flame, Cell — Structure and Functions, Lights, Stars and The Solar System, Pollution of Air and Water and more. The syllabus help students understand the natural world and its formation and more.
CBSE Class 8 Social Science is classified into three sections – Civics, Geography and History. The overall syllabus focuses on enhancing students understanding regarding the environment and sustainable development. About citizenship rights, duties and responsibilities and knowledge on the Vision of a Golden age, the National Movement, Tribals etc.
CBSE Class 8 Hindi as a discipline has four sections. The syllabus is constructed rigorously keeping in mind the importance of Hindi language. The syllabus attempts to build a solid Hindi grammar foundation, where poetry and proses are to develop creative and critical thinking and more.
