There can be 2 cases here.
Case 1: You have a bit of hold on Math and English.
In this case, you need around three months of planned efforts. The last month is always left for only Practice Papers. That makes it four months before the exam date. It is suggested to take up external help/material through online/offline means. A regular study program consists of about 2 hours of frequent sitting during the weekdays and 6 hours of sitting during the weekend. Start with an assessment so that you know what's your point A.
Case 2: You aren't having a good hold over Math and English.
In this case, you need approximately six months for the preparation. Take external help and prepare with the same plan as in Case 1. Last one month before the exam should be dedicated only to practice papers.
I hope that clears your query.
All the Best and hope that you crack it.

There are 2 cases in this:
Case 1: The student is not from South India and does not know any South Indian language.
- In this case, it will take about a week to understand the basics of the language. The grammatical rules of Kannada are very similar to Hindi. Once you get the hang of essential words, it becomes easy to create sentences.
Case 2: The student is fluent in at least one of the South Indian Languages.
- South Indian languages are a bit similar to each other. Like Bengali, Punjabi, and Hindi are. In this case, it will take around three days of work to get the hang of the language.
Note: The timeline is to understand the basics of the student keenly goes through the lesson. To be fluent in the language, it will take over six months of work.
