IdentityMy primary language throughout my life has been English, both spoken and written. Most of my everyday communication with friends and even family has usually been in English.
I am a retired Computer Science researcher and professor with 40+ years of experience using English to teach and to communicate with students and colleagues, with a PhD and several publications (in English) to my name.
I have always had a keen interest in languages, and enjoy films and TV in English, as well as plays, music and lectures so I have a very wide range of material to call on, including a large personal library.
I was usually teaching science rather than English, but as many of my students were not native English speakers, my teaching usually involved a fair amount of helping people with English.
