Yoga training can be classified into two major category,
1. Physical (Body, material and therapy)

2. Intellectual  ( Mind, Thoughts and achievement based)

So, as per the text from traditional yoga schools, use almost all the above said respectively to the students need.

Whereas in many modern so called yoga class focuses only on the first category and claim they are in eternal bliss.

My suggestion is its always depends upon what is in our mind, Than what is the subject full potentioal.

So I could request anyone to first try to understand what is the height of the knowledge and expeience where you study any subject and choose to your requirement.

Hope i have given a  clarity , if you need more info please feel free to catch me.

Yoga is a very misunderstood word, just like God and religion. Patanjali is a codifier of Yoga.

In his Yogsutra, eight steps are there.

1. Yama

2. Niyam

3. Asana

4. Pranayama

5. Pratyahara

6. Dharana

7. Dhyan

8. Samadhi.

Many people are just doing physical exercises, i.e. Asana; it is not complete Yoga. Yoga means union. Even breathing also exercises not pranayama. All eight steps come together to become Yoga.
