Ashtanga Yoga with music like soft classical piano, violin, nature sound, hymns by krishna das, anup jalota, it definitely it will help to connect yourself with the supreme. Certainly no cheap songs or music or blaring sounds. The quality of music certainly matters. Very fine example is of tansen. When tansen use to sing akbar was not happy. He asked is there anyone better? Tansen said yes My Guru Swami Haridas. They go to vrindavan and silently listening to Swami Haridas. Akbar was in trance. Then he ask why is I am not getting the same effect when you sing? Tansen said it is because i sing to please you and my Guru sings to please the Supreme. That is the difference. read less
