Hi below is my experience with the school...

I'm very unhappy about this school,my kid studied from playgroup to prep 2..
As per their process we have to decide ,if we want our kid to go to Vidya Nikethan or Vidya Shilp during the admission itself and we had opted for Vidya Shilp.
But as my kid came to prep 2 ,my child had lot of issues and the class teacher told me we have to get an assessment done for the child to check if the child is ADHD.
I did get it done but he was on the boarder line and he was an average studying child .
Therefore he was denied admission at Vidya Shilp though we had received a letter from them asking us to come and pay the fees ..there was a whole lot of confusion with the school.
In the process all this affected my child's morale.

I have contacted them just now.They are saying that admissions for LKG are not happening for 2015-2016 and they are not sure how many kids from Nursery will be dropped out. So they asked me to contact back in April'15.

VSN takes kids only to Play Group. Admissions to upper classes are very very rare & happens only when a kid is withdrawn.

Hi...I am a parent where my elder son is studying in Vidya Niketan. When I had taken my younger son for Sagar under Sibling quota, they did not select him saying that my elder son was not doing well. So I had to admit him in DPS. Now my elder son is doing better and younger son stands second in his class. Many of my elder son friends are lagging but still their siblings were admitted. So was this transparency/good judgement of selection? One of my friend who got admission to his son to 5th standard in VNS told me that it was influence supported by money what made him to get the seat. So please do not trust on merit in getting admission to Vidyasagar if you have opted for VidyaNiketan. «less

Hi, We have admitted our grand daughter into Vidya Sagar. We have liked the school and the school atmosphere. But the only problem is with the School uniform. It is very clumsy. What interview for kids aged 1.5 years people have gone mad. And parents should revolt back when such practices are followed. I can understand that seats can't be provided to every applicant so be transparent about it. Practice first come first serve or atleast parents interview is ok than kids of that age. I completely agree with Mr Anand, DD & Divya. I registered my child's name and they called us to meet them on a particular day with the kid. It took a good 45 min of observation/interaction with the kid. We got a call within couple of days and were asked to pay the fees. One thing I liked the most about this school is they never asked about my salary or any extra money for admission. I never had any big contacts to approach the school..Im very satisfied with their learning approach. «less

General information for parents seeking admission to VidyaSagar:
The Playgroup admission criteria for VidyaSagar is that the child has to be 2 years by May 31st. The application forms will be issued during Sep/Oct months during the previous year.

For ex: For 2015-16, the child has to complete 2 years by May 2015. Applications will be issued during Sep-Oct 2014. Please check with the office for exact dates.

One has to get into Playgroup as admission for the following years is rare & happens only when a kid moves out. Note that there will be a long wait list if you do want to try for Nursery, Prep 1 & Prep 2.

Children will be called for interaction around Jan-Feb & they are left to play in a room filled with various toys, sandpit etc. along with one parent. The selection is based on this interaction. There are no other discussions or parent interviews. The school may have other criteria, but one can only speculate as there are cases which prove otherwise. Do not heed to rumors & give it a shot & hope for the best.

Typically, parents are notified of selection the same day & are asked to pay the requisite fees on a given day.
