@swapna - our interaction was in the right most corner room on the ground floor. There were four tables and each table had 2 chairs. One parent was allowed inside along with the kid. @sharmila - I am not 100% sure but they are mostly looking for interaction with toy and communication. My son played well with the toys and he also spoke a few lines like "Mamma what is this?" "Mamma, give me" etc. He was not given any book to go through. But the teacher asked my wife on what languages do you use at home. She said hindi and English. Then, from the toys table he was directly send to the sand pit. «less

@Mahadesh...our interaction was on 23rd. We r waiting for the call if selected :).. @sharmila .. Our interaction was exactly the same.. Even i dnt know they will call or not. My son got sight of a basket ball and was more interested in it during the entire session. His pronunciation is not fullydeveloped.. Whatsover, dnt know how kids are evaluated...  more»

@Veena: I am also very much interested to know how they will choose. My daughter was not ready to play with the wooden blocks kept side. When they ask me to take her to play with blocks as soon as i reach there my daughter just picked 2 blocks thrown there itself came back to the table and started picking up the toys. Then teacher said u can take her out. Waiting for the call. «less

Hi All, I just wanted to know everyone opinion around the correct age to go into 1st standard. Now in Vidyasagar we have 4 years of education after which the kid goes into 1st standard. This means the age of the kid would be 6- 7 years. Normally the age for 1st standard is 5+ years. Is this something we should be worried about?

Hi all, i guess the parents opted for vidyaniketan will get a call later if their child is selected. We had the interaction on nov 23rd. And have opted for vidyaniketan. My son in july 2010 born.. .. Parents pls post if you get a call and have opted for vidyaniketan. It will keep all of us informed..

I agree with Mr. Anand. My son is admitted to the playgroup classs. We went through the regular process. Standing in the queue, getting an application n then submitting it before the last date. Attending the interview. I agree they dont announce publicly about when they are giving out the applications. but they do send out circulars through students,...  more»

I agree they dont announce publicly about when they are giving out the applications. but they do send out circulars through students, notice at the gate. For me, I called them regularly to find out when the applications were given and that helped me.
Another point is, they call every single applicant for the interview if the age is withing the age liimit. «less
