GRE Coaching

"Sougata Sir has a distinctive method of teaching which helps to grasp the whole program comfortably. For GRE classes, he starts helping with Quants sections and then gradually enters into verbal sections. He has some amazing video tutorials which helps to get both the methodical and shortcut approaches to tackle problems. He takes care of individual students and proactively communicates with each and every student in a batch. I would recommend Sougata Sir as one of the best teachers for GRE coaching. "

GRE Coaching

"I was not an erudite student as well as my academic background was not build up by English medium schools so GRE came hard for me. At first I was cowed by the 4000 words list. But sir helped me to truncate the length of the list. I had a lot of grammatical mistakes, but sir reduced it. Standard deviation was a nightmare for me but sir introduced innovative tricks to work those out. My initial practice score was 286 but sir helped me to wax it up to 298. And I have creamed off 3 out of 6 in AWA. Sir makes a reverent atmosphere while teaching. "

"I took 4 months of coaching from him to crack the SAT. He's a good and friendly teacher. He can also give you some advises regarding the College application process! I recommend him as a SAT teacher. "

You'll see the scores for the Verbal and Quantitative sections but not the Analytical Writing section. On rare occasions, the scores seen on test day may change.

As you must already know, the number of questions you get right on the Q/V section determines your raw score in that section. But then this raw score is then converted to a scaled score through a process called "equating". Equating takes into account things like how difficult the section was compared to GRE tests administered on other dates. Thus, after equating, a score of 800 on any test date should indicate the same level of proficiency. Now, when the GRE format was changed in 2011, ETS made the Math section slightly harder. Someone scoring 800 on the old format can be expected to score a 166 on the new format because they would get the same percentile scores. Of course, anyone capable of scoring more than 166 on the new format would also have scored 800 on the old format, but there's no way to tell which 800-scoring student would score how much higher than 166. So, there you go.

It depends on the student. Many students find the vocabulary tested to be quite tough. Some find the reading comprehension or the grammar questions or the essay tough. Students who did not have mathematics at the 10+2 level might find the math part to be tough as well. Some students don't find the questions themselves tough but struggle to do enough questions in the given time. There are also many students who find the entire test easy and require only minimal guidance. It is best to take a free test available on College Board's website to assess the difficulty level for yourself.

Yes, the passport is the only photo ID proof accepted by the College Board for Indian students. So, you must have your passport with you on test-date. You cannot appear for the SAT without it.
