Whiteboard is not necessary for every subject, but if you are teaching a subject like mathematics, whiteboard makes the work multiple times easier. It saves your time and most importantly, your energy. Other than maths, for theoretical subjects, you don't generally need the board every time, but you can still use it to make your work easier. For example, if you are teaching a story in English, you can use the whiteboard to create a concept map of characters or events etc.
