The CAT (Common Admission Test) exam is conducted for a total of 198 marks, divided into three sections: *Section* *Number of Questions* *Total Marks* VARC (Verbal Ability & 34 questions 102 marks Reading Comprehension) DILR (Data Interpretation 32 questions 96 marks & Logical Reasoning) Quant (Quantitative 32 questions 0 marks (Removed in 2022) Ability) Total: 98 questions 198 marks Note: - The Quant section was removed from the 2022 CAT exam. However, this change may be reversed in future exams. - Each correct answer is worth 3 marks. - Each incorrect answer results in a penalty of -1 mark. - Unattempted questions do not carry any marks or penalties. For quantitative aptitude ensure that you get a strong hold on number theory basics. Do solve as many logic puzzles in spare time, as possible. This definitely improves marks in quants section.
