"It’s a huge honour and privilege to be a student of Sangeet sadana institute which nourishes every talent with great ease and grace. The environment here helped me gain an all round development . The faculty here are extremely professional and trained me to explore new areas of music and pushed me to overcome my fears. Anindita Mukherjee ma'am, Swathi ma'am, Debojyoti sir encouraged me to explore new dimensions of music. Can never thank the academy enough. "

"It has been a year since when I am learning Hindustani Classical music and over the span of the last one year I have really felt a great change in the way I perceive music. What had just started off as a hobby class has now become the epicenter of the better part of my day. Teaching is lucid and effective. It had started off with an Orientation Class where all the beginners were grouped and over a course of 3 months, we were given not only training of vocals, we were taught about the history of Indian Classical Music, the evolution of how notations were scripted and told in detail about the instruments that would be used during our vocal practice. Though we practice on mobile apps, we were given an understanding of even the tabla with taals being demostrated in a live session! It was a fascinating experience to really understand the heritage of music from such a close point. My Guru is Swathi madam and honestly I can only say one thng about her, she is someone who needs to be seen to be understood and heard to be inspired by. Prior to my joining as I was doing my search I was really perplexed about the Guru-shishya parampara that was mentioned by everyone, infact I didnt believe at first because it is so old-school but after meeting Swathi Madam, I realized why people have written about it. You can tell Swathi madam the trivialest of your issues and she will patiently not only hear it out but genuinely try to help. Yet to find another more beautiful voice or another genuine a soul. My interaction with Founder and Guru Smt. Anindita Mukherjee has a been less frequent because of my timings but whatever little interaction I have had, I have found Maam to be inspirational, infact during one of the baithaks during Saraswati Puja, I remember Maam actually individually asking about if the performers were ready or even seeing to the fact that everyone has taken prasad! What an inspirational lady. I am really blessed to be a part of this organization and I intend on continuing my journey here. "

"I have been learning Hindustani Classical Vocal at Sangeet Sadhana for almost a year now. So far my experience has been extremely fulfilling. I am being tutored under Debojyoti sir. He's an extremely young and bright scholar in the field. His versatility is commendable. Every class , every raaga, every bhajan that one learns from him is taken so much in-depth that one will never forget them. His attention to details is amazing. Small tips and tricks that he provides during classes makes learning so much more worthwhile. One enters a state of trance when he's taking sessions. I eagerly look forward to weekend classes just for the enriching experience. If one has to connect deeply with the soul of music, one needs to be blessed to be under the guidance of amazingly good gurus. Needless to say, Sangeet Sadhana totally ensures that students are provided with a beautiful environment to learn and thrive in the field of music. Happy learning! "

"I have joined Sangeet Sadhana last year to learn Hindustani Classical. It's been an year now, n I can say that it's the right place for any music lover. I am really grateful to all the teachers especially Bhaswati Ma'am and Swathi Ma'am for all their teaching and support throughout my music journey. When I joined, I didn't have any knowledge on classical music. Here at Sangeet Sadhana, all the teachers are very dedicated, passionate to teach and have amazing method to transfer the music knowledge to the students. They cover all the basic information about the music in the orientation session, which makes your base very strong and learning journey very interesting. In regular class, they teach all the raagas one by one in detail, which includes raaga basic information, gayaki, laya, chota khayal, bada khayal, Vistaar and Taan. Teachers make us practice by giving us chance to sing in front of the class on one o one basis. Which gives us more confidence about our singing. That way you enjoy your entire music journey with your fellow students. I am looking forward for more and more joyful musical experiences at Sangeet Sadhana."

"Sangeet Sadhana is part of my life since 2017 and I am learning Hindustani classical music Vocals here. My journey with the school started with basics, like introduction and history of classical music, Alankars, Meerkhands and Taals. Journey continued with basic ragas where Ragas are taught in a specific manner starting from its basic information to Sargam and Lakshan Geet. In Khayal Gayaki, Compositions are taught with Bada Khayal(In Vilambit Laya), Chhota Khayal(In Madya or Drut Laya) and Tarana. Semi-classical forms like Bhajan, Dadra, Gazal, Thumri, Tappa are also taught. Composition notations are given to follow them while practicing. Guru sings first showcasing vistar and its chalan. Later, we have to sing the same repetativly along with guru until we are clear. We also get a chance to perform same one-on-one basis in front of the class which helps us to go through what guru has taught and get better clarity on raga. In offline classes, few times, tabla player is called to accompany which gives understanding of various tabls Theka & singing with that. Sangeet Sadhana conducts concerts where music maestros come and perform. It conducts workshops and competitions too where we get chance to perform on stage in front of 300 people. It gives good exposure on performing end. In Bangalore, Sangeet Sadhana is a great place to learn Hindustani classical music. I am very grateful to my school and my guru Anindita ma'am for getting me more into Hindustani classical music. "

"Learning music from Swathi ma'am has changed my life! Swathi ma'am is so sincere with her art and her teaching. She's incredibly patient and very very accommodate with your learning needs. The ideology of the school itself isn't like a typical commercial hobby school! Ma'am makes sure we devote a lot of time to each raag devouring it slowly; till our ears get used to it and teaches us to revisit each raag. The part I look forward to the most about our classes is when we learn about a raag and ma'am tells us more about it, discusses the music by different maestros and tells us about her days with her Guru :) "

"I joined sangeet sadhana hindustani vocals in feb 21. Just 8 months of online classes with sangeet sadhana has changed my relationship with music, both listening to music (both classical and popular) and singing. I really enjoy my classes with swathi ma'am. Ma'am takes us through each raag meticulously, explaining the theory and then introducing various pieces based on the raag, both classical and semi-classical. Each class usually has a number of students with differing abilities -- some more gifted or trained than others. Swathi ma'am is extremely patient and encouraging with all students, and gives us individual attention without placing any pressure. She gives feedback based on our particular level. It is not a one size fits all approach no matter where you are starting from, she gives you tools to improve and learn, and applauds progress. She gives advice on how we can do our riyaz and which features we should focus on to develop our vocal skills (while understanding our time limitations as working people). It is an added bonus that she has a beautiful voice, so even listening to her perform or illustrate something in class is a delight. Her style of teaching is not one where you just try to imitate her singing. She gives us the 'flavour' of each raag, and encourages us to develop our own modifications or variations. She also encourages us to develop our understanding of sur rather than feeding us notes. Highly recommended. "

"Aarya, our ten-year-old, has been a disciple of Sangeeth Sadhana since he was five, is aspiring to be a professional Hindustani Classical Singer with three national certifications already under his belt. Trained under various gurus at Sangeet Sadhana, he's grown to adore Swati ma'am the most, who happens to be his current guru. Swati ma'am helped change Aarya's perception of music, especially when he had hit a creative roadblock last year and refused to attend the classes. After a while, we as parents had given up, but Ma'am was persistent. She periodically spoke to him through his break and ensured he was kept warm and encouraged. Swati Ma'am and Anandita Ma'am played an instrumental role in being patient, talking to Aarya regularly, and bringing him back on the right path. Today his learning curve is on an all-time high (according to us) because he enjoys singing and learning. He voluntarily requested us to increase the frequency of his sessions from two to four per week and also practices regularly. I know he is in the right place and trusted hands since the gurus are invested in their students. We like to thank Anindita Ma'am and all other gurus Aarya has trained with, most importantly, Swati Ma'am for bringing in the change in Aarya. We are forever indebted. "

" I am now student of Swati ma'am in Sangeet Sadhana. She is an excellent teacher. She teaches us one by one each and every steps in music which is the foundation. What I feel without foundation a building can never stand. She really makes our foundation. I am enjoying the class. It works me as a stress reliever. The pressure I have in my work place is relieved when I attend the music class that provides me energy for the entire wee. Till now, I have only completed one month. Within this, I have learnt alankars based on raag yaman. Which helps me as riyaz every day. And Raag Bhairav, One Lakshangeet, Madhyalay, Bandhish with Vistaar, Boltaan and Taans. Just now, we have started Raag Durga. I am sure what ma'am is teaching is the best way and that perfect practice will make me perfect in music. I am enjoying! Thank you Swati ma'am. "

"I have joined sangeet sadhna this year in the month of july.. And they started with the orientation classes. The way swati mam and bhaswati mam were focusing on each and every student. I liked that way, in our batch we were maximum adults but they were treating and making us to understand very easily and now I am learning music under the guidance of bhaswati mam. The way she teaches it's superb. If we will not understand she will keep on repeating and sing till we understand. She is very patient. Loving and understand the students problem very well. I like and love to learn music under bhaswati man's guidance. Thank you so much mam. "

"I have been leaning Hindustani vocal from Sangeet Sadhana, since last year. Like many of us, I had inclination to sing and glad that i found the right school. SS to me is a place where the gurus have patience ad willingness to ensure I enjoy music while learning. For someone like me who lost confidence in attempting to see the grandeur of music, I considered myself blessed because my teachers Reetesh Nayak, Swati Ma'am walked with me to ensure my comfort and flexibility. Now I am taking classes from Bhaswati Ma'am, who will never give up on her students and gratefully that is simply why i started enjoying my lessons. I am very well enjoying the musical me and the journey:) "

"I have been learning Hindustani classical music at Sangeet Sadhana for 3 months now. It's been a wonderful experience so far, the classes are conducted very well, with individual attention to each student. They pay attention to getting the basics right, concentrate on the swar and taal, and actively encourage all students to sing in each class, and practice. Notes and recordings are also shared post class for students to practice. Would definitely recommend Sangeet Sadhana music academy to anyone who wants to learn hindustani music. "

"I have been learning Hindustani Classical Vocal for around 2 years at Sangeet Sadhana. I am thankful to one of my college seniors who advised me to join Sangeet Sadhana to resume my journey with singing after years. Right from the beginning, the focus was primarily on building a strong foundation in terms of understanding the importance of individual swaras(notes) in a saptak(octave), ear training with tanpura and harmonium, basic taals to start with. After the basics, raagas were demonstrated with numerous vistaars to understand the flow of swaras and help realize what differentiates one raag from the other. This also made easy to understand various feelings/mood associated with a raag. I am really thankful to be a part of Anindita maam's class and get to learn through her excellent presentation of raagas and thorough pedagogy. Each individual is encouraged to present raagas & compositions in every class followed by detailed feedback and essential tips given by Guru to improve one's singing, versatility & voice texture. The experience has been worthwhile so far and I'm looking forward to advance further by following the guidance of dear Gurus to become better as a singer as well as a musician. "

""Music is the medicine of mind and hindustani classical music is the soul. Listening taanpura gives a goosebump to me and I feel that how a fish can not live without water just like that a musician is incomplete without knowledge of classical music before coming to sangeet sadhana I did not know a of classical music but trust me it is one year for me learning here and now I can easily understand basic raaga even I am confident about singing alaaps ,taans correctly, sangeet sadhana is one of the best place in bangalore to learn music because the way we are guided by our gurus that is something which I have no word for and gurus majorly focus on basics as basic is the backbone. You can find a small batches here so that gurus can focus on each and every student even time to time exam are also conducted by pracheen kala kendra to test us but I will suggest everyone to have patience about learning .Roam was not built in a day so we need to give time to learn and build a great knowledge in classical music. I would recommend people to close their eyes and choose a music school like sangeet sadhana. "
