"I have been training with Sangeet Sadhana for almost a year now. In a short period of time, i have been taught the complete basics of hindustani classical music. I have learnt raag bhoopali, and now on raag yaman. The number of bandishes learnt are innumerable within such a short span of time. I am very happy that i was recommended this classical music institute. My dream of learning hindustani classical sangeet was fulfilled in the way that i had always envisioned, by The Gurus of Sangeet Sadhana. I like their professionalism which is reflected in areas of expertise as well as in conducting and management of their class sessions. The accountability factor is very strong. Mentioning about the teaching itself, all the Gurus are very highly educated and talented, in the field of classical music. For a beginner or anybody starting their journey in the classical music field, i would strongly recommend Sangeet Sadhana as their school of learning, because their foundation course is simply unmatched. The basic knowledge shared and taught with plenty of patience and respectful interaction, is something which is unique to Sangeet Sadhana. "While I was in Bangalore, a friend of mine mentioned about Sangeet Sadhana. I visited the classes for enquiry, and I was asked to wait to meet the Guru. While I was waiting, I noticed that the entire ambiance of Sangeet Sadhana had a strong, distinct aura. From the first meeting with the Guru to the day I write this review, I have always felt that special ‘Guru-shishya parampara’ here. Sangeet Sadhana follows a very traditional and authentic method of imparting knowledge. Upon joining, we were given a month-long orientation to understand the history of Indian classical music and the basics of Hindustani classical. Later we were aligned to respective batches. I consider myself privileged to have had the opportunity to learn from Swathi madam, my Guru. She is an epitome of patience and perfection. Such a caring, empathetic teacher. Sangeet Sadhana follows a very disciplined approach to classes,with proper attendance, constant focus on regular riyaaz, exposure to various kind of raagas and forms such as thumri, semi classical. There are proper exams conducted by Pracheen Kala Kendra. Currently, the classes are being conducted online due to pandemic, however, I see no difference in the personalized attention and guidance one gets. Gurus have been very accommodating and cooperative during such uncertain times and never let our learning stop. I am glad to be a part of Sangeet Sadhana and I sincerely hope to continue my musical journey with all the love and guidance from my Gurus. "

Specially during this virtual environment life has gotten tricky. "As a student, I can say that the Sangeet Sadhana is the best school to learn Hindustani classical. The classes are conducted with full attention given to sur and taal. The number of students in a group is kept less so that our gurus can hear everyone sing. Traditional Guru-Shishya parampara is strictly followed which is very important to learn music. "I have been learning hindustani classical music here in sangeeth sadhana for more than a year now. It's a divine place where we can connect to music and the emotion of the raags. Great thanks to all our gurus who do this with utmost passion. My interest toward classical music has increased multifold and my understanding of the raags has really improved from where I started. 3 years ago while I was working in bangalore I wanted to learn hindustani and I am really blessed to find this place. Unfortunately I had to move overseas within 6 months and I couldn't continue the class and the online classes were not in practise then. Last year during covid times, one good thing which happened which I consider to be blessing in disguise is that the online classes were started and they had posted in their Facebook group. The moment I saw that I was so thrilled and excited to see some light in pursuing my musical passion. I got in touch with my guru and she was so sweet to not just take me in the class but also made ensure I could practise and revise the raags which I had learnt earlier by accommodating in the appropriate batch. I realised what I had missed all this while when I rejoined 5he class. Honestly the feeling of being a part of the class and getting inspired from our gurus everyday and experiencing music is divine. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is keen on understanding and experience the joy of music in their lives. "

"I could not have found a place better than Sangeet Sadhna to start my musical journey. With erratic work schedule without a fixed duty hours, I wondered whether I will be able to manage and I was told by the Gurus that If you love classical music we will work a way around it. That was exactly what happened. It is not just any regular music school where you learn as per the syllabus. It is a haven for music lovers where you get to experience music that stirs your soul. The Gurus are so patient, always there to nurture your skills, and correct your mistakes. I see it as a blessing to have chanced upon joining Sangeet Sadhna. "I've been a part of Sangeet Sadhana for almost a year and half now and i am glad to be a part of it. The gurus here are highly skilled and talented and they teach us with dedication and passion. Having no prior experience or knowledge about Hindustani music or even classical music, i had to struggle initially for few months to get sur, taal right. But once you get basic understanding of these elements, the learning becomes joyful and interesting. The ragas the gurus teach us are soothing, melodies and are ghambir in nature. Learning these ragas paves a way to explore the depth and beauty of classical music. The more you learn and listen to classical music , the less youâ??ll feel interested towards listening to filmy songs. The sangeet Sadhana school follows Guru Shisya parampara which transforms us to be respective and show dedication towards music . "I joined Sangeet Sadhana almost 1.5 years ago, when I moved to Bangalore and wanted to reconnect with Hindustani Classical music, which I had learnt as a child. Any classical art form requires immense dedication and discipline, and that is what I was looking for. I am very happy that I found it in Sangeet Sadhana, where my love for music has only grown. As a student progresses in their musical journey, the gurus decide on which batch is appropriate for them. In the beginning, students are taught by Reet Sir, who builds a solid foundation of music theory and basics. This is extremely important for students of all levels. I too, was taught by him, and then by Swathi Ma'am, both of whom were very patient with us. Today, I am blessed to be taught by Anindita Ma'am, the founder of Sangeet Sadhana, who is a constant inspiration to us all. There is so much to learn from her, and I hope to someday have a fraction of the knowledge she has. Classes are taken in small groups, and are interactive, with individual attention given to every student. Not only do students learn a lot, they are also presented with frequent opportunities to perform on stage. Sangeet Sadhana also organizes concerts with various eminent artistes regularly. This exposes students to world class performances and also contributes to the understanding and learning of classical music. I cherish my journey with Sangeet Sadhana, and hope it continues for years to come. I highly recommend Sangeet Sadhana to everyone. "

"Before joining sangeet sadhana i have explored 2 places for learning Hindustani classical music, the main difference i saw here is the "passion and patience of GURUS for teaching their students". The efforts they put into their students is incredible , also the very essential thing they have is "Discipline and Guru - Shishya Parampara" which is "Icing on the cake". They create that kind of peaceful ambiance and a melodious musical world that you will never feel like skipping even a single class . If you are honestly seeking for the place which can lead you to right direction and enlighten your musical path with genuine guidance and dedication then i highly and strongly recommend you this place. They conduct exams , competitions , concerts , practice with live tabla players and what not. I am very fortunate and happy to be a part of sangeet sadhana, its just not class it makes you feel like you are family to them. "

"I have tried few places to learn Hindustani classical but didn't get that level of satisfaction. When I joined Sangeet Sadhana, I realised this is what I was looking for (honestly). Highly recommend this place for PPL who are passionate to learn Hindustani classical music as it's very disciplined and authentic. What makes Sangeet Sadhana unique is the teachers. Apart from their incredible talent and knowledge which inspires me everyday, the most imp thing is that they teach from their heart! Not like formality or just for money.Music is actually Sadhna here. In addition, Sangeet Sadhana organizes baithaks and concerts often which gives the students an opportunity to witness maestros performing and also to showcase their talent. Overall excellent place."
