"It's been 6 months since little one(4 yrs) has started her musical journey at Sangeeth Sadhana Music Academy.I must admit that it's been a fantabulous journey till now let it be from the dedication in which they conduct classes with out a break, regular AV recording of the songs, commitment in sending timely notification for parents on any concern it's really a commendable job they are doing.Besides SSMA nurtures the young mind with there articulated music program (challenging task to assemble kids listen and practice )which enhances the kids intellectual,social, emotional and overall language literacy that can be inculcated in there life. We are ecstatic to be part of SSMA,expecting loads more in future. "

"Our association with Sangeet Sadhana started around six months back when we put our child in this institution with the intention of getting her moulded in the creative discipline and rigour which Hindustani Classical music is known for. We firmly believe that the decision of ours was the correct one after having experienced the manner in which the teachers put in effort to impart the right musical education. Most importantly, now our child looks forward to attending the classes and her teachers every week. "

Singing Classes

"If Music is your passion, then Sangeet Sadhana is the place to get associated with. For SS music is not a hobby class, but a school of though that breaths, lives and thinks Music. My 3 years kiddo loves this place. The teachers here are helping my small maestro learn Hindustani Classical in organised and experiential manner. The school believes in in-hand experience and try there level best to help music sink in the child by organising workshops and events like UDAAN. The UDAAN Concert organised by SS on 3rd December, 2016 will be a memorable day for me as I was saw kids from the age group of 3 yrs to 13yrs performing on stage some beautiful (but difficulty to sing other wise) melodies. I am happy that I found an institute like SS for my daughter and I am thankful to the teachers and founders of SS to help me groom my daughter. "

Indian Classical Music Classes

"I joined Sangeet Sadhana School in January 2016. It has been a fruitful learning experience.The teachers provided me every basic knowledge about Indian Classical Singing. They explained the importance of riyaaz and how It helps to improve your vocal chords. Regular tests and feedback from teachers helped in correcting my mistakes and understanding classical music . The school organised concerts at regular intervals for students. Recently an amazing tabla workshop was organised which was taken by the mastero Pt. Shivshankar Banarjee. This helped me to understand the different taals in classical music and how different variations of same taal can be presented. Overall it has been a wonderful journey with Sangeet Sadhana. I sincerely recommend Sangeet Sadhana to the parents whose child has interest in music because the school has a well planned structure for learning music . Wishing all the best to the school. Every student are given special individual attention and the learning and growth scale of each student is monitored. "I am learning Hindustani classical music in this music school from almost last 6 months.And this 6months of musical journey has been really inspirational for me. The most great thing about the school is the mentors are giving attention to each and every student.They are paying attention to individual's problem and helping us to bring out the best. I have seen a lot of difference in my singing in these 6 months. Before coming to this school I only knew that there are 7 notes we use to sing but now I have started analyzing the notes what are their importance how they sound. If u really wants to learn Hindustani classical music this is really a great place for that. "

Hindustani Music Classes

"I have been taking Hindustani Classical vocal lessons from Sangeet Sadhana for about seven months now and have both learned a lot and have had a great time while learning. School provides very home like comfort and provides emphasis on making fundamentals of singing solid. Equal importance is given to theoretical knowledge of Hindustani classical music. The academy actively promotes various forms of classical and semi-classical music like bandish, bhajan, tarana, thumri, khayal, just to name a few. This school follows the true tradition of Guru-Shishya parampara. It has a consistent standard of teaching, thereby inculcating technical finesse and discipline among its students. Also, it’s a good thing that the school does not adhere to a particular gharana (In Hindustani music, each gharana represents a distinct style). The best from each gharana is chosen and taught to us. All the teachers at the school have a laid back approach and allow the student to progress at his or her own pace. Teaching styles are very unique and comfortable. Lessons are revised time and again till each and every student gets the hang of it. Assessments are conducted to diagnose strength and weakness of students and eventually to improve their performance. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is interested in learning Hindustani vocal music. "

Hindustani Music Classes

"An institute where it is imperative that you dig deep to excel. Understand the gaps in your capability and constantly challenge it. The teachers stress on providing an enriched and thorough approach towards teaching. Not to mention the utter dedication to the cause which is pure and simple, in Anindita Mam's words "Learn, Practice everyday and I will ensure you will Grow!" An institute where a raag is not restricted to what's 'in the portion or syllabus' or isn't considered as 'taught' with one khayal and few taans.. Here the stress is on depth of understanding and breadth of scope.. The bars are set higher within the class, with regular tests in between, so actual exams, which are obviously a part of our journey, become easier to tackle. As students we get to be a part of various concerts, workshops, projects where artists who have excelled in their fields impart their take on the topic and music at large. I attended one such- A membranophone saga, by Pt. Shubhankar Banerjee. When you see stalwarts like these perform, you realise how little you know, and how difficult and trying, but at the same time, utterly satisfying this journey of learning music can be. Realisation aside, a couple of hours spent in vicinity of a great artist, teaches you something worth embellishing in your life. One such learning by Shubankar da, was- To learn music you must learn the measurement of time! On this note, I end my views on SS and hope I would be an integral part of it years to come. "

"It's been more than 6 months that I am associated with Sangeet Sadhana school of Music & Art. It provides a sincere platform to connect Hindustani classical music, through not only by vocal but also through traditional instruments play. To encourage my deep interest towards Hindustani vocal, I joined Sangeet Sadhana school of Music & Art, which is known for it's high standard quality teaching, organizing music concert n workshop, not only to promote the richness of Indian music but also to spread the knowledge about music among it's students and others as well. 1 is to 1 guidance, periodic evaluation and personal guidance are few of its specialties which make this institute indifferent from other. In conclusion, my feeling about Sangeet Sadhana is one of the well known institute in city which worship music n try to educate individual of its essence, irrespective of age. "

"Its been almost 6 months I have joined Sangeet Sandhna and believe me, it is really a wonderful experience. I would surely recommend Sangeet Sadhna if you are planning to learn Hindustani classical and semi classical. All the teachers are really good and helpful. Their methodology of explaining things in both, theory and practical, is really amazing. We do practice in school with Taanpura, Harmonium and tabla. During the practice, teacher concentrates on each and every student, explain their problems and make them correct it. So it is like one on one basis coaching. Also you can send your recordings to them which they will listen and give proper comments. As a beginner, I have started with basic alankars and meerkhand. Till now, I have learnt basic ragas as classical form while thumari, bhajan and tarana as semi classical form. Now, I can see improvement in myself just because of the directions provided by sangeet sadhna. e.g. Initially I was unable to sing lower notes but now I am able to manage it. One more good thing is that Sangeet sadhna provides you a platform to perform in various forms, either exam or events such as concert and annual function. I am glad to be a part of the school and I am very excited continuing my journey here. "

"My experience with sangeet sadhana bas been pretty good for the past 5-6 months that i have been here. Learning any art or skill requires lot of hard work and dedication. Keeping that in mind, the school administration stresses on maintaining discipline. Here are few things about it 1. If anyone is absent for more than 3-4 classes without informing, he/she is confronted directly about this 2. Strict rules for complying with class timings, payment of fees on time are there. 3. Tests are taken regularly and those who are trying but not able to do well in them are given special attention in the school, because its obvious that not everyone can learn a skill in the same pace. And there are activities other than normal classes also, where we can participate voluntarily and learn more. So my overall conclusion about sangeet sadhana is that it is a good place for those who want to learn, and anyone taking learning of music casually won't simply fit in. "
