"I assisted Harish Sir in developing an online GRE course for ChalkStreet. It was heartening to see the effort he put into developing the content although he is adept at the English language. It automatically gives a learner confidence that he is safe hands, which is definitely the case if he is Harish sir's student. His communication is evenly paced and his detail to delivery makes his teaching impeccable. GRE is an extremely tricky exam. It is highly imperative that you have Tutor like Harish Sir who will train you to such an extent that you will not only be able to completely minimize avoidable errors but also tackle difficult questions, and in the end, ACE the GRE! It was an honor to learn from and work with Harish Sir. I recommend Harish sir to every GRE aspirant as he is one of the best teachers I was fortunate enough to meet. Thank you Sir. "

"I would recommend Harish to any one who is wanting to tackle Verbal in GMAT or GRE. Harish was my verbal tutor for GMAT. What makes Harish dependable is his in-depth understanding of subject & technique (approach to solve various types of questions). His approach involves understanding the weak areas of the candidate. He then goes extra mile to help the student tackle these weak areas. He does this in two ways: 1. Researches and provides alternate ways to make one understand the concept 2. Providing lot of extra material for Practicing. "

Statement Of Purpose for Universities
"I went to Mr Harish kumar for my Statement of Purpose(SOP) for universities.Unlike some people who have a general format for SOP, Harish actually took the time to have a 40 min conversation with me on skype before writing the SOP. Therefore even though the SOP was not written by me it still had a personal touch to it and it also displayed a level of sophistication I would not have been able to achieve in my own but that something most universities look for. "He is a dedicated teacher. I had only a three week time period to take the test and it was helpful. He has a lot of material to share and is good at spotting the gaps in your prep. Time is of the essence and if there is one constructive feedback I would give, is to ask him to be on time for all classes. "

"I approached Mr Harish Kumar for English coaching for my son appearing for his SAT Exams. My son was a State board student and while his Maths was good he definitely needed guidance for English. Harish Kumar provided the requisite coaching from base level to advanced essay writing and critical reading skills. He is very patient , dedicated and delivers more than the necessary inputs thus enabling the student to do well. Further he assists the student in their weak areas through extra lectures and continual practice. In short he is able to impart the necessary skills for achieving good marks provided he is approached within reasonable time of the exams and not at the last minute. I would recommend him unhesitatingly to parents/students who are looking out for a competent , sincere Teacher for SAT English. "

"Harish handled Verbal reasoning for me in a group of seven students during the months of November and December 2013. At that point of time I was employed, so I had picked the weekend course at the Manhattan Review at T Nagar Chennai. Learning again in a class room was the start of a memorable experience that was enhanced with the quality that Harish brought to his classes. Harish was genuinely interested in teaching. The passion to express oneself via teaching was evident in the way he presented every class. His general wide spread interest in varied topics and references to classical as well as popular culture led to vivacious discussions which made for great recall value as I would prepare for new word lists and sometimes for the root words themselves His approach to each material presented was as though it were as new to him as it was to us. While he was open to looking at new answers via interpretations that had come up through discussions at the class , he often contested those with the conventional approach giving us an insight into the methods of reasoning used by the committee that sets these questions. This sensitized us to further nuanced thought processes. Most of us in our class needed to broaden our vocabulary. Harish would constantly stress on the basics. ‘Have you prepared your word Cards?’ He would often say. It seemed like Harish had an intuitive perception of the pace of each student and while we were a small number of students he would time the class appropriately and we could find that he gradually was increasing the speed as we adapted better to the course material Harish rallied along with us as our examination dates drew closer. His three hour classes ran well into 4 as he helped us with our doubts in passages we earlier had difficulties in. The effort that he would put in made a great deal of difference in our confidence to approach certain problems thereby directly improving the speed with which we could respond to problems. "

"While I was preparing for GRE, I had the pleasure of attending Mr. Harish's verbal sessions at Manhattan review, Chennai. I was particularly impressed by sir's wide range of vocabulary and his ability to transfer knowledge in a simple and efficient manner. His suggestions for improving vocabulary , such as , reading 'Word power made easy by Norman Lewis' and using flash cards to learn words have been invaluable pieces of advice for me. Mr. Harish has this wonderful ability to understand individual student needs and thus make his class interesting and informative for each and every student. I personally gained a lot of knowledge from sir's verbal sessions. "

"The consensus among GRE takers is that the intimidating verbal section requires channelized and dedicated preparation. Yet, there is a resource person who can turn the ‘intimidating’ verbal section into our most favorite section. He is Harish Sir, whose classes I have thoroughly enjoyed. He has developed a unique methodology for using flash cards (which he periodically reviews), which not only helps us to retain the words but also teaches us the exact contextual use. He expounds on the etymology of words and also gives us groups of related words to help us understand them better. Every session of his is a guaranteed addition to our vocabulary building efforts. His classes are very interactive and personally he is a very affable person. He devotes plenty of time to train his students on Reading Comprehension (RCs), the toughest and the score determining factor in GRE. I can avow that I never read novels or watch English movies but my verbal skills have seen great growth after attending Harish sir’s classes. Harish sir’s classes are the gateway for high verbal scores. Sriram S. IIT Madras. "

"It is definitely a class of knowledge with more practical and real time examples which makes things look simple. He is an easily approachable person. He shares a great level of comfort with each and every student in the class which is the best part in him. The tips and techniques which he taught us for critical reasoning helped me a lot in taking the questions. After my classes I am really feeling confident about myself. Just being attentive in his class will make you an expert in English. "

"Basically I am very weak with English and my high school English marks were below average. After completing my bachelor degree, I am very much interested in pursuing my masters in US. So i have to do my GRE exam. My friend referred me Mr.Harish and I joined him for verbal. First day of my class, I am weak with grammar, vocabulary, tenses (I cant understand anything). Mr.Harish took me extra care and motivated me to learn basic vocabs, reading books like "word power made easy", some magazines and after one month I was quite confident with my language but i cant solve any verbal questions in GRE. His way of teaching is really awesome and within two months I had learned more than thousands of new vocabulary with proper usage. I made hundreds of flash cards with my own sentence really helped me till now. other than that he taught me Greek and Latin roots, meaning of colors, planets etc. After two months I am really happy with my understanding and I took my GRE and I scored 150 in verbal. I got immense satisfaction on it because within two months I found such a change. I strongly Mr.Harish for GRE, CAT, GMAT and all other exams related to English. "

"What seemed an uphill task was made remarkably easy by him - getting 330+ in GRE. He kept his classes interesting and gave tips to tackle the GRE Verbal Reasoning Section. He taught new ways of building vocabulary. I was in a batch of five in his class. When it came to discussing answers in class he would involve every student at class, seeking their reasoning behind their answers; and then explain elaborately and convincingly why the right answer was right and the others wrong. Overall he inspired me to be a more avid reader. "
