Here, as we can see the coordinates are x=1 and y=-2 therefore put these values in the given eqn 2x-3y =8 where by putting it we can see that the lhs part will become like 2*1-3(-2)=2+6=8 which is equal to rhs part which is given as 8 hence lhs =rhs thus the (1,-2) is the solution of the given equation.
