In Karma Yoga one does action knowing that he is nothing but Atma (a part of Paramatma) and without having any desire or expectations of results from his action (Karmafal). He considers all his actions being done not by himself but by the supreme will of The Almighty and treats himself just a medium.
In Bhakti Yoga one devotes himself entirely to Paramatma, stives to connect with the supreme Almighty through different means. Bhakt Prahlad has described 9 such ways namely..shravan, kirtan, smaran, bandan, paad sevan, archan, dasya, sakhya and Atma nibedan. The sole purpose of this Yoga is keeping oneself engrossed in Iswar prem ( love with Almighty).
