Hi Tejas, I agree some schools are ok with the 2 yrs 8 months thing but some others that I called where specific about the age. I ve given it a thought and decided to nail something down next year. For now I am happy with the play school he goes to.

Tejas, I ve enquired in schools and they need the kid to be 2 yrs and 10 months as of June 2012. My son would be 2 yrs and 8 months. I ve heard all CBSE schools are very strict about the age.

not really. even my kid would 2 yr 8 month by june 2012. i have checked in DPS yelahanka, jain heritage, presidency kasturi nagar, presidency yelahanka and they all said my kid is eligible. (in fact presidency north keeps calling me repeatedly, this is their first batch). all are CBSE schools.

I called VS yesterday and they said all admissions are complete. We did not get a call. we are looking at other schools like braigade, legacy, kensri. All these are for next year though.

Thanks a lot Jayalakshmi, krupa Krupa, Dont worry. all things happen for a good reason. did they mention that the admissions is complete?. when i asked, they said it would be complete in January.. they don't seem to give clear answers. btw you planning LKG admission in kensri brigade etc or nursery? If its nursery, why are you waiting for next year?... more»

I am leaning towards jain heritage. i guess its easy to get in there. «less

Though the school does not seem to be very well known as the others in the surrounding, I heard more than 2-3 good reviews abt it. You can give it a try. I am particularly happy... more»

Hey, Tejas. Though I dont post comments regularly in this forum I have been following the reviews regularly. My son is 2.8 years and I have admitted him to Kensri in Hebbal. Though the school does not seem to be very well known as the others in the surrounding, I heard more than 2-3 good reviews abt it. You can give it a try. I am particularly happy because they admit the children on a 1st come basis unlike other schools that have interviews. They also have the montessori methodology in primary which is becoming quite popular now-a-days. «less

My opinion would be just opt for DPS-Play School / Roots & Wings & get your kid admitted for LKG in Euro School / Kensri / Jain etc., which is close by to your place.

Hi Tejas, Some kids from my building go to Jain heritage. I think they follow the holistic approach as well. I ve heard good things about the school. This is one of the schools I will be looking at after I hear from VS.

My daughter is 2 yrs 3 months will be 2yrs 8months by june.. so just confused.. shud i put in nursery or playgroup..some of the schools asked us to come next yr.. since they do not admit kids below 3yrs to nursery and they do not have playgroup. But schools like DPS, Jain heritage, Florence are ready... more»

@Krupa. thanks a lot. any idea how good is jain heritage? i am ok with high fee. but are they worth it? (its 90k per year. plus 16k for transport. even for admission form they charge 1000 rs) .are they better than vidya sagar in terms of quality? @Pushpa. my wife's friend's kid studies there. she says its good. but i have seen some bad reviews in... more»

Some good schools around here are Kensri - hebbal, Trio world school Hebbal, DPS (it's fairly far away), Navkis (Gokulam), Presidency school, I think Sindhi has closed the admissions.

Ya me too, I am trying to look elsewhere, How about Rashtrottana Vidya Kendra ?
Seems they have good extra curicular activities and also academics is good.
Anybody can provide more reviews and details ?

I have decided to look out elsewhere. No point waiting. Can someone recommend a good school for nursery in North Bangalore? Anywhere in north Bangalore if its a proper school and in RT Nagar only if its just a pre school like euro kids etc.
