Hello Bacchalog, I am your chemistry teacher. For the last 17 years, I have worked for my students to achieve their goals. I love Science and, in particular, Chemistry. Chemistry is by far the most scoring subject in any engineering entrance exam. However, many students fail to score decent marks in chemistry, saying that It's full of exceptions and difficult to learn. I am on a mission to change this myth. Chemistry is a science, and all the exceptions that students talk about, are backed by scientific logic. For example, almost all the structure-based questions asked even in JEE ADVANCED examinations can be easily solved by drawing the structures. Anyone can easily draw the chemical structures by having sound knowledge of VSEPR, VBT, hybridization, MOT, etc. But these can be further simplified by feeling the Law of nature - Symmetry. My students play with structures that are part of the syllabus and can draw many chemical structures that are not part of the syllabus. During my teaching journey, I have always tried to deliver the concepts in the most simple ways so that my average student can easily understand them. I consider myself a good student. I learn from my students how they make mistakes, think style, approach to a given problem, etc. It sounds interesting. Then I redesign my notes so that my future students don't repeat these mistakes. To bolster the concepts and understand students' basic problems, I have willfully taken classes from class 9 onwards ( Very few IITians do teach classes 9 and 10). Interacting with students from different classes from 9 to 12 has given me so much insight that I know where a normal student makes mistakes. That's my teaching becomes very effective. I have developed some cool tricks to help my students, such as Think Hexagon for drawing structures, Identifying Friends - for predicting redox reactions, and many more.
