TOEFL PBT exam in India
TOEFL PBT exam is no more available in India. Across India, applicants can now only take up the TOEFL internet exam (TOEFL iBT).
The TOEFL PBT exam tests the English proficiency of non native English users in a classroom setting at the college or university level.

The cost of the TOEFL PBT test is US$170.
TOEFL PBT Scores
The scores of TOEFL PBT exam are received 5 weeks later to the exam date.
TOEFL PBT exam format
In the TOEFL PBT exam, there are three sections:
This is followed by a last section called TOEFL Test of Written English (TWE), a writing assignment, that has a mandatory 30-minute time allotted. The score of the TOEFL TWE section is not included in the final score of TOEFL PBT exam.
All the four sections are mandatory during the TOEFL PBT exam.
TOEFL PBT exam time duration
The total time duration for TOEFL PBT exam is 4 – hours.
The exam lasts for 3 hours 30 minutes, while an extra 30 minutes is devoted for TOEFL TWE test (a writing assignment).

TOEFL PBT Exam Registration
The TOEFL PBT exam registration happens through the official website of ETS. As there is very limited number of seats for TOEFL PBT exam, candidates are suggested to register keeping ample time in hand in order to get their preferred exam center and date.
There are two ways to register for TOEFL PBT exam – mail or phone.

Tips of TOEFL PBT exam
If you are taking the TOEFL PBT exam, then here are some simple tips to follow:
a) Mark only one answer for each question. If you mark more than one answer, you might not be marked for the same.
b) Do not put any extra mark or writing on the TOEFL answer script except marking your answers.
c) Use of eraser is permitted in TOEFL PBT exam.
d) Do not use pen on the TOEFL PBT exam paper.
e) Do keep browsing the ETS official website for latest updates and announcements about TOEFL PBT exam.
