To teach, we as teachers must have a good understanding of a subject. You would like to teach patience. Just calm down and watch what it means to you. Your intuition will be your best guide. Also, what is the child running after?
What is more interesting than what you want him to learn? Can you make what you teach more attractive than those that seem to be of more interest to your son? At least, that is what I do as a teacher. It's a fast world! So is the attention span. Just calm down and observe for some time. You will find your answer.
