Taking a break between PTE Academic modules was permitted when the test was longer. However, since the test has been shortened, you do not get any breaks.

If you have any medical condition or special requirements, you can mention so at the time of booking the date and fill out the necessary form(s).

This question type will be encountered in the Listening module of the PTE exam.

In this task:

- You will be able to see a passage on your screen.

- An audio will be played.

- You need to read the text along with the audio.

- You have to highlight (click) the words that the speaker does not speak in the audio, or teh words that are incorrect.

The best way to attempt this task is to move the cursor to avoid missing out. If the speaker says 'research' and the word written in the passage is 'study' then you are expected to highlight that word, which means that the word 'study' is not spoken by the speaker.

Note: This task also has a negative marking. Therefore, you should only "highlight" or select the words if you are sure of them.

It is one of the important question types in the PTE exam and the Listening module as well.
