Flight A will travel a distance = speed × time = 1000 × 1.5 = 1500 KM Flight B will travel a distance = speed × time = 1200 ×... ...more

Flight A will travel a distance = speed × time

                                                    = 1000 × 1.5

                                                    =  1500 KM

Flight B will travel a distance = speed × time

                                                    = 1200 × 1.5

                                                   = 1800 KM

Now using Pythagoras Theoram

h = square root of ( p^2 + b^2)

   = square root of (1500^2 + 1800^2)

   = 2343.07 KM
