I'm an ACE(American Council of Exercise) Certified Personal Trainer. I do have 2+ years of official experience into the field of fitness and have been into fitness industry for about 5-6 years unofficially. I was last employed at BODYSCULPTOR(Celebrity Fitness Studio-Khar Mumbai). I'm an expert in the following programs - Weight Management, Fat Loss, Muscle Gaining(Hypertrophy), Building Stamina & Endurance, Functional Training(Improving the functions of the whole body). I've worked with a lot of clients to help them achieve their above mentioned fitness goals.

Yes, females can do abs crunches, but it depends on their current fitness levels, whether they can perform them with the right posture or not. If not, they should first do core stabilising exercises like bird-dog exercise and then only we can expect progression. The total no. of reps advised will depend on their goals.

If we look at the fundamental definition, then fitness can be defined as a disease-free fully functional body. But if we slightly dig deep into it, then fitness is the presence of all five components of fitness, i.e., cardiorespiratory fitness, functional fitness, muscle endurance, power & flexibility.
