It depends on which class you belong to. If you are in 12 th standard, it is sufficient to learn upto the atomic number 40. It is essential to understand the merits and demerits of the periodic table and the differences in characteristics among the metals, non-metals, metalloids. But if you know the entire periodic table, it will be helpful in the future.
