That Kickboxing and Kung fu are very different forms of martial arts (except the fact that they both start with a K (knockout) . Kickboxing originated from martial arts like Karate and Muay Thai and Jiu jitsu and hence is not at all a pure and classical martial art form and the martial art is pretty new as well , originating around the 1960s while Karate , Kung fu etc. originated thousands of years ago .
i) If you want to get involved in a sport with a lot of fighting attitude or self defence also and a lot of punches and kicks , go for Kickboxing
ii) If you want to take a taste of pure martial arts and learn some discipline and use the martial art as self defence ,inner power , RLS ,Better Grades,ANd most important BETTER MENTAL ATTITUDE & TEMPER CONTROL GO FOR KUNG FU......
