The very basic difference between CSIR NET and the UGC NET is as follows :
1. CSIR NET is for science background students whereas, UGC NET is for the other subjects except sciences (for eg. History, Commerce, English etc. )
2. There is negative marking in CSIR NET exam whereas, there is no negative marking in UGC NET exam.
