To score Band 8 in IELTS, it is important to do a SWOT analysis. Divide the foure modules into two, Reading and Listening on one side and Speaking and Writing on the other.

The first two can be quantified, therefore dpending on the IELTS calculator, prepare and practice in accordance with the number of correct questions which correspond to Band 8.

For the other two, Writing and Speaking, there are no straight forward answers or solutions. You have to analyse in depth what clicks. Generally, speaking is more easy to evaluate, st least from the trainers perspective but, as far as writing  is concerned, separating a band 6.5 writing to 7 is always a perilious task. Yet, we have the latest app nowadays, ChatGPT. See if it can help you write better because I am told that it writes extraordinary essays with simplicity as the hallmark.
