All you need is more practise to increase your band score. IELTS is one such exam which will test your patience level. But, if you want to score better, you need to invest a lot of time on practising. You can take mock tests; it helps in understanding the types of questions asked. Overall, it is always better to start practising ahead of time to improve your IELTS skills because these skills take time to develop.

Here we will discuss a few tips to improve your writing and speaking test.

a. It is incredibly crucial to understand the question asked by the interviewer in the speaking test. If you don't answer accordingly, then the interviewer will consider that you don't understand the question asked.

b. One of the essential tips for writing test is to ensure your spelling is correct and get a list of vocabulary for each writing task.

c. You need to work on complex sentence structures to get a good score. Linking words are very important. You need to show the examiner the range of linking words to connect each of your sentences.

d. As mentioned earlier, start your preparation soon and make sure you track your progress.

e. Always listen to news and documentaries on various topics in English and make sure to read books often. Practice under a professional IELTS trainer and ask for feedback to increase your score.

f. Towards the edge of your IELTS preparation, start exercising with full-length tests under realistic situations for several weeks before the test date.
