Depends on how much band is required for certain application.For universities it is some times 6 band overall to qualify for some diploma course it is 5.5 band.for migration purposes it ranges from 6 band to 8 band each.there is nothing like passing mark , you will be measured under the band score for example below 9 band Expert user Has fully operational command of the language: appropriate, accurate and fluent with complete understanding. 8 band Very good user Has fully operational command of the language with only occasional unsystematic inaccuracies.
