Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality
(a) a citizen of India
(b) a subject of Nepal
(c) a subject of Bhutan
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Other than candidates who are Indian citizen, the rest belonging in b, c, d and e categories need to produce certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Educational Qualifications
Applicants should have the certificate of passing the qualifying exam as on 28.02.2015.
For General Stream, candidates should have a Degree in any discipline from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government.
For Specialist Stream, candidates should have a Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government.

- ¼ of the allotted marks would be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Descriptive English Test would be conducted only through Online mode.
- Total marks for the exam would be 200. Candidates would be shortlisted based on their performance in the objective and descriptive section.
- Cut off Score would be applied in two stages:
- Candidates require to obtain a minimum score in each section of the objective test separately to be shortlisted for the Descriptive paper evaluation/Interview.
- Descriptive paper would be evaluated only for candidates whose have passed the Objective test
- Cut offs for Descriptive and further shortlisting would be decided depending on the number of vacancies
- The test is available in both Hindi/English. However, the medium of writing the Test of English Language is English.
