IBPS Registration

If you are in plan to serve the Indian banking sector, then it starts with the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) exam.

Every year the Mumbai based organization, IBPS conducts exams for the following categories:

• IBPS Specialist Officers exam
• IBPS Probationary Officers (PO) exam
• IBPS clerk
• IBPS RRB (Regional Rural Bank) exam

The steps to register for the IBPS exam are as follows:

• Candidates need to browse the IBPS official website in advance, in order to not miss the exam notification or update.
• Download the relevant IBPS job notification.
• Cross check in advance with the basic eligibility factors like age/academic background/nationality.
• Before beginning to register for IBPS exam, make sure you have digital version of a clear straight passport size image (20kb – 50kb) and digital signature (10kb – 20kb). The signature needs to be done using a black pen.
• Candidates need to register using one specific email id, contact number and residential address for IBPS exam. Make sure all the mentioned three details are correct and accessible from your end. IBPS often reverts in the above mentioned address, email-id or number.

Preference of Bank:

The scope to mention your preferred bank is not availed in all categories. However, in some roles candidates have the scope to mention particular banks from a list of participating organizations in that program.

Valid identity proofs and documents are a pre-requisite to apply for IBPS exam.

The application fee of IBPS exam is 600INR (approx) for General Category students and 100INR(approx) for SC/ST/backward class.

It is recommended to complete your IBPS exam registration keeping ample time in hand as right before exam the website traffic shoots up and the speed of the website gets effected which may hamper your online registration process.

In case you cannot complete the entire IBPS online registration process in one go, you can always opt for the Save/Edit later option.

To begin the online IBPS exam registration process, you have to start from the yellow button on the top right corner of the official IBPS website.

First step: Read a set of instructions and make sure you stick to those.

Second step: Enter basic identity details on the first page of the IBPS application form.

Third step: Save the first page and move on to uploading your digital image and signature.

Fourth step: Here, IBPS will provide you with a temporary id and password (on completing filling the first webpage of IBPS application form). Save the IBPS temporary id and password as you may need this at later stage of IBPS exam registration process.

Complete the rest of the IBPS form and submit it.

Fifth step: This is the last stage of IBPS exam registration. All your information will be displayed on a single screen. This is the last point where you can change/edit your filled in details. On accepting all terms and conditions hereafter you will be directed to the fee payment page.

IBPS registrations are usually held in the second half of a year beginning from July.
