How can I begin my Tution career ? Can some one help me, on how to go about / start ? I am considering to take teaching as my Profession . I am a good tutor and have been helping my family kids whenever they have/ had doubts in their Maths and Science subjects in School . Being a MBA and BE ( Hons) from Science background Mumbai University , I find the School Maths and Science easy and I have my fundamentals clear. Hence teaching may not be difficult. However I do not have a Professional teaching experience . I need help on the same , preferrably to begin within a Tution Class or share students with an existing tution teacher or other options. I want to begin with Students of Std VI to VIII , English medium students to begin with and gradually start to teach students upto 10th Standard or higher , once I gain confidence . Can some one help me ? I am around 45 years old and am presently working in a Senior position in an Organisation . I am also willing to work in Partnership . I can make myself available during weekends Saturday after 8 pm and Sunday after 11 am .. Hoping to receive some valuable advise / thoughts / references / suggestions

I would suggest to brush up your knowledge you should start with Std 4th to 8th or up to 9th Standard as it is the question of future for higher standard student. Once you start teaching and gain experience you can move for higher standard. But along with teaching you will also have to study regularly...

I would suggest to brush up your knowledge you should start with Std 4th to 8th or up to 9th Standard as it is the question of future for higher standard student. Once you start teaching and gain experience you can move for higher standard. But along with teaching you will also have to study regularly and update your self. You can start at home and also get the students from Home tutor websites initially. Just implement and do not think much you will get the ways out but start advertising as soon as possible as from June months onward schools and colleges will start. read less

Subjects and chapters are such things which can be polished with time. But proficiency comes only when u know the techniques, principles and how to execute it. These are abstracts and only felt by drilling and repetition. No one can help u in bringing these things. You yourself have to learn from your life and lessons. Start single with basics you know very well. Run for 1 or 2months. Once you start, you will find next path yourself. Suggestions----practice infront of mirror everyday. Collect kids in your`family and teach them. See whether you can make them sit infront of you for more than 1 hour. read less

Everyone has a different methodology to teach; so you start and depending upon the difficulties of the students and their feedback you inculcate the best practices. You can start teaching at your place or student's residence; after gaining the confidence you can then apply at different coaching centers to work as part-time faculty. read less
