I had initially started teaching French in a primary school for about a year. The shifted to a higher secondary school when I got an offer to teach French and English. The experience was very nice as a relation grew with my students. But soon after a minor accident I was hospitalised for sometime and my students and their parents requested me to take private tuition at my residence. Ever since I have been teaching. My style of teaching is I try to explain the students their task and make them think about it. I discourage memorising answers as memorising without understanding will not get registered in the memory. My skill and strength in teaching is first building a confidence in the student of any age group that she/he can do better, having patience with them and coming down to their mental level to explain lessons. Now its been almost 15 years. I like teaching because I can interact well with the students of all ages. I teach because I love to share my knowledge and I also learnt a lot from my students. I have learnt to be patient and give them support. I help them with their studies or curriculum and explain them and discourage learning by heart the texts, I feel accomplished when my student show improvement. I don't want them to compete with others but with himself/herself. The best technology I use for the improvement of my students is read aloud whatever the subject. By reading aloud one understands better and can remember longer. The other technology is you have to come down to the student's mental level to help him.
