As you said you have 18 years of experience and i hope you have sound theoritical knowledge of a particular domain in IT, So just do certification in that domain. Half of the part you already completed that is theroy now its time to have an hands on experience. So it is ideal that you know some technology... ...more

As you said you have 18 years of experience and i hope you have sound theoritical knowledge of a particular domain in IT, So just do certification in that domain. Half of the part you already completed that is theroy now its time to have an hands on experience.  So it is ideal that you know some technology pretty well and crack the interview, you are good . If you want to continue teaching, that's the best option I would say at this point. Try to get into a government or aided school/college for updating you further.!
