Is there any scope for me to enter into IT field after 18 years of teaching experience. If yes then how?

1. What have you been teaching?
2. After teaching for 18 years, why do you want to change your career?
3. Why do you want to enter into IT field?

As you said you have 18 years of experience and i hope you have sound theoritical knowledge of a particular domain in IT, So just do certification in that domain. Half of the part you already completed that is theroy now its time to have an hands on experience. So it is ideal that you know some technology pretty well and crack the interview, you are good . If you want to continue teaching, that's the best option I would say at this point. Try to get into a government or aided school/college for updating you further.!

Assuming same you have multiple option in IT to enter with IT products in demand at present.

You need to learn any technology of your interest from any training center with experienced trainer. Good training and best efforts will definately offer you opportunity to crack interview and swith your career path.
