- Candidates should be at least 12th Class pass or equivalent exam from a recognized board or university.
- Degree obtained through open Universities/Distance education needs to be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU.
- Candidates are eligible to apply for the posts, if they are likely to get their documentary evidence from the University or board from 1st August.
- All candidates who are writing the Typing Test/Skill Test will need to produce the original mark sheets.
- Women candidates, SC, ST, Physically Handicapped and Ex-servicemen are not required to pay any application fees.
- Candidates applying offline (paper mode) should pay a sum of INR 100 by means of ‘Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)’ only.
- Candidates applying online should pay a sum of INR 100 by means of SBI Challan or Online payment through Net banking or any credit/debit cards only.
- Any application payment made through channels other than CRFS for offline and SBI Challan/Net banking/credit & debit cards for online, would be rejected and the payment shall stand forfeited.
- Data Entry Speed of 8,000 Key Depressions per hour on Computer.
- The test will be judged based on the correct entry of words/key depressions as per the given passage and the duration of the test will be 15 minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2000 -- 2200 strokes/key depressions would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the computer.
- For visually handicapped people would be given 35 minutes including compensatory time 20 minutes for the skill test.
- ‘Data Entry Speed’ Skill Test would be of qualifying nature.
- Candidates who clear the Written Test with minimum qualifying marks would be called for the Skill Test. Candidates who have at least a speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour will be eligible for being appointed to the post of Data Entry Operator.
- Central Government civilian employees should furnish ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their respective Employer/Office at the Skill Test.
- The Skill Test will be held at the Commission’s Regional Offices or other centers, as considered appropriate by the Commission.
- Candidates who have cleared the Written Examination would be called for Typing Test. The test would be Hindi or English, candidates have to mention their choice of language while filling the application form.
- The Typing Test would be of qualifying nature
- Candidates who have chosen English Medium should have typing speed of 35 words per minute and those opting for Hindi should be able to type at least 30 words per minute.
- If a candidate doesn’t choose any medium, by default English would be his Typing Test medium.
- Applicants will be shortlisted for the Skill Test/Typing Test on the basis of his/her performance in the Written Test.
- Candidates who qualify the Skill Test/Typing Test will be considered for appointment based on their performance in the Written Test.
- Allocation of candidates will be made to User Departments depending upon their merit position and the option exercised by them
- An ex-serviceman or Physically Handicapped (OH/VH/HH) category candidate who qualifies on the basis of relaxed standards viz. age limit, experience or qualifications, permitted number of chances in written examination, extended zone of consideration, etc. is to be counted against reserved vacancies and not against general vacancies.
- Under any circumstances if a candidate is not able to prove their eligibility, the Commission can cancel their candidature.
