Stenographer Exam

Staff Selection Committee places candidates in various government jobs. This organization conducts Stenographer grade C and D examinations annually for candidates interested in over 500 posts as stenographers in government companies. The eligibility criteria is for a candidate to have successfully completed class 12. Official notice for 2014 exam can be found here

Application details: Online and Offline mode of application. Exam fees is INR 100.

Online mode: The form is available at the SSC website. The form has two parts, the candidate has to fill both the registration forms I and II and upload a scanned copy of the signature and photograph in the assigned section. Along with this, the candidate has to pay the form fees through a Chalaan of the State Bank of India or though SBI net banking. Candidates belonging to Scheduled tribe, Scheduled caste, physically handicapped and Ex-serviceman categories and female candidates are exempted from submitting the application fee.

Offline mode: Here, the candidate has to download the application form at the SSC website and fill it duly.  A photograph has to be attached. Duly filled application with fees should be sent to the concerned Regional Office/Sub Regional Offices of the Commission. The payment is made through Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) only. CRFS are stamps which are available at all Departmental Post Offices which candidates have to paste in their application on the specified place.
