Mystical Aspect: Traditionally, Hatha yoga was developed as a preparatory practice for higher states of meditation and spiritual awakening. It is rooted in the idea of balancing the body energies (ida and pingala nadis) to awaken kundalini and attain self-realization, which gives it a deeply mystical dimension.
