Bol means - any pad.. or words which we used to say sing in general way... Baat means to separate anything..so when while singing khayal when we use the words of bandish (lyrics of the song) and play with talas .. generally we used to sing in a specific chhand( means combinations of laya)..
Now simply the singing of bol of bandish in specific chhand in the same taal of the bandish. U can say this is bol baat.
